In addition to granting financial assistance and allowances, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation offers various options to support fellows who are raising children.

Extension of the fellowship in line with the German Maternity Protection Act (Mutterschutzgesetz)

When a baby is born to a female fellow during the sponsorship period, the fellowship may be extended by up to three months. For details, please see the information below:
